Brief: Lead communications and content strategy & develop and launch new website

The Neil Evans Melanoma Foundation was looking to recruit a freelancer to lead its marketing communications function. Reporting to the Board, I was engaged to support and promote the Foundation’s mission and raise the profile of its brand.

Since mid-2023 I have been solely responsible for the communications and content function, including:

  • Web development project management
  • Web copy and blog content
  • Event project management & marketing
  • Publicity
  • Content strategy
  • Social media management
  • Marketing collateral (print & digital)
  • Email marketing

In 2024, I also oversaw the Foundation’s rebrand to Beat Melanoma which included web copy, content, and supplier and stakeholder management.

As a skin cancer sufferer myself, it’s a cause very close to my heart, and I’m proud to say that my commitment to Beat Melanoma has been instrumental in supporting its leadership team and helping to amplify the Foundation’s profile online and in the community.
